QUALITY CONNECTIONS ARE STRONG CONNECTIONS
Accreditation is an assurance that the professionals that serve us have a solid educational foundation and are capable of leading the way in innovation, emerging technologies, and in anticipating the welfare and safety needs of the public.
University colleges and departments are vetted through rigorous accreditation programs to ensure they meet peer group quality standards. While accreditation tends to focus on academic and research metrics, accrediting bodies have begun to include requirements to ensure the safety and health of students, faculty and staff. This is where EH&S connects.
We connect with colleges and departments by reviewing the status of their safety programs and facilities, and providing recommendations. In addition, EH&S participation demonstrates to external review boards that the university provides the necessary infrastructure to ensure not just maintenance of safety, but continual improvement.
